Today is just another amazing summer day. Last night my friends Chloe, Emma, and a bunch of Emma's friends and I went to Area (eighties night) for Emma's birthday. :) It was fun, but kinda got old after awhile. It was just a really small room so it got hot VERY fast. I went in drag and everyone else also dressed up.. It was amazing fun. :)
Anyways, this is a poem I wrote in creative writing this year, that I thought I'd post:
Heart-Covered Bridge
The bridge was covered
She kept her heart tattooed to her skin,
And it took shape as a scarlet rose.
The wood stretched for miles,
And seemed meaningless with no water beneath
Yet she dangled her porcelain feet off the edge
Loosely focused on a New York Times.
Approached, She gasped and stood,
Made a run for it down the
Bridge.
Her silk white calved dissipating
Into the unlit wood work.
Her footsteps becoming the snapping of a typewriter
Pressing old ink.
Ink that told the story of a girl
With a heart tattoo and New York Times
